Inspiration
The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp is a celebrated oil painting by Dutch Golden Age master Rembrandt, created in 1632 during the Baroque period. The painting captures Dr. Tulp delivering a lecture on human anatomy to the Amsterdam Guild of Surgeons, showcasing Rembrandt’s skill in portraiture, his knowledge of the human form, and his dramatic use of light.
