Inspiration
Liberty Leading the People, or La Liberté guidant le peuple, is a masterpiece of the Romantic era, painted by French artist Eugène Delacroix in 1830. Commemorating the July Revolution that deposed King Charles X, this powerful image portrays the allegorical figure of Liberty leading a mixture of social classes in revolution, symbolizing the fight for freedom.
