Inspiration
Shot Marilyns is a series of screen-printed portraits created by American pop artist Andy Warhol in 1964. Featuring Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe in bold, vibrant colors, the works gained their name after a performance artist famously shot a stack of the canvases with a revolver - an act that only heightened their cultural impact and mystique.
