Inspiration

Shot Marilyns is a series of screen-printed portraits created by American pop artist Andy Warhol in 1964. Featuring Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe in bold, vibrant colors, the works gained their name after a performance artist famously shot a stack of the canvases with a revolver - an act that only heightened their cultural impact and mystique.

Homage

Shot Walpoles finds Walpole, well, everywhere. Because as all long-time viewers of Extra History know… it was Walpole! Our five-episode series on The South Sea Bubble originally premiered in February of 2015. Art by David Hueso.
